Faculty News: French & Spanish Editions of Kenneth Bernard's FROM THE DISTRICT FILE

We hear through the grapevine that there are two new editions of the novel From the District File, by Kenneth Bernard (Professor Emeritus, English).

Originally published in the United States in 1992 by Fiction Collective Two, the book reappeared in 2010 in a French translation, a second edition of which is now available (Extraits des archives du district, Le Tripode, 2014.)

Also available is the (relatively new) Spanish translation (Entre los archivos del distrito, Errata Naturae Editores, 2012).

Professor Bernard retired from LIU a number of years ago but many of you knew him, either as a colleague or professor. You will be pleased to hear that our source (Professor Bernard's son Lucas) reports that his father (and mother Elaine) are both doing well.
